PM Oli starts to review performance of ministers

Kathmandu : Prime Minister (PM) KP Sharma Oli has started review of performance of ministers and ministries from Wednesday. The first review meeting that started at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) at 11 in the morning will run till two in the afternoon.
PM Oli has started to review performance by inviting ministers and secretaries even as the government with two-third majority is accused of not meeting expectations of the people.
Spokesperson at the OPMCM Joint Secretary Binod Bahadur Kunwar told Setopati that PM Oli will minutely evaluate whether the ministries have been able to perform as per the action plan they submitted in June. “Ministers and secretaries will give presentation of their work,” Kunwar revealed.
The OPMCM has also started use of a software to evaluate performance of ministers and ministries since September.
Physical infrastructure, energy and water resources, communication and information technology, agriculture and livestock, industry and commerce, and urban development ministries will be reviewed on the first day of the three-day review program that started Wednesday, according to Kunwar.
PM Oli was earlier scheduled to review performance of ministers and ministries on the seventh day of every month but he did not review performance until now. He will review performance of four months in these three days.
PM Oli will issue warning to the ministers if their performance is found unsatisfactory.
